Track and Field Wraps Up Season at Two Division I Meets

Keiser University recently issued the following announcement.

Charles McCord qualified nationally for his second event in the long jump on Friday with a distance of 7.08m. Laquandra Moore took home a second-place finish in the high jump 

with a mark of 1.55m which tied a personal best.

B-STANDARD

  • Charles McCord - Triple Jump (14.24m)
  • Charles McCord - Long Jump (7.08m)

AL Campbell Invitational

Stile Athletics Field House

Akron, Ohio.

Shyann Jackson and Harriet Tuson were turning heads at the Division I AL Campbell Invitational. Both broke school records and improved on their events as they prepared for the 

NAIA Indoor National Championship. The men's 4x400m Relay team had a good showing but came up just short of the B Standard mark that they were attempting to hit.

A-STANDARD

  • Harriet Tuson - 800m (2:11.14)
  • Shyann Jackson - 400m (57.13)

B-STANDARD

  • Shyann Jackson - 200m (25.41)

MEN TOP-5

1: Brandon Baker, Melvin Johnson, Matthew Beliard, Cameron Dill - 4x400m Relay (3:21.75)

WOMEN TOP-5

1: Harriet Tuson - 800m (2:11.14)

2: Shyann Jackson - 200m (25.41)

4: Shyann Jackson - 400m (57.13)

UP NEXT

The Seahawks will head to Brookings, S.D. for the NAIA Indoor National Championship from Mar. 3-5.
