Kisean Anderson, also known as "Sean Kingston," 34, and Janice Turner, 61, both from Southwest Ranches, FL, made their first appearance in federal court to face charges of conspiracy to commit wire fraud and wire fraud. The charges stem from their alleged involvement in a scheme to defraud sellers of high-end specialty vehicles, jewelry, and other goods using fraudulent documents.

A grand jury in Miami charged Anderson and Turner each with one count of conspiracy to commit wire fraud under Title 18, United States Code, Section 1349, and five counts of wire fraud under Title 18, United States Code, Section 1343. If convicted, each defendant faces up to 20 years in prison on each count.

According to the indictment's allegations, the defendants falsely represented that they had executed bank wire or other monetary payment transfers for vehicles, jewelry, and other goods. In reality, no such transfers had been made by the purported banks. Despite non-payment, the defendants allegedly retained or attempted to retain the items. Through this scheme, they reportedly obtained over $1 million in property.

U.S. Attorney Markenzy Lapointe for the Southern District of Florida; Special Agent in Charge Rafael Barros of the United States Secret Service's Miami Field Office; and Sheriff Dr. Gregory Tony of the Broward Sheriff’s Office (BSO) announced the charges.

The case was investigated by the United States Secret Service and the Broward Sheriff’s Office. Assistant U.S. Attorneys Marc Anton and Trevor Jones are prosecuting it.

An indictment contains mere allegations; all defendants are presumed innocent unless proven guilty in a court of law.
