The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will hold a free community e-waste drive-thru event on Saturday, March 29, at Regatta Park from 9 AM to 2 PM. This initiative aims to promote responsible recycling and encourage the public to keep toxins out of the waste stream.
Regatta Park has been chosen as the venue due to its environmentally friendly design, which includes a roundabout driveway for smooth event operation. Residents can drop off unwanted electronics easily.
The event welcomes City of Miami residents to dispose of electronic products, light bulbs, and batteries. An on-site processor will handle recycling various electronic equipment, including PDAs and mainframe systems. Fluorescent lamps, ballasts, commercial and industrial batteries, and mercury-bearing devices are also accepted.
