The City of Miami Department of Solid Waste is organizing a free community e-waste drive-thru event on July 20th at Regatta Park from 9 am to 2 pm. The venue, known for its environmentally friendly design, features a roundabout driveway to facilitate smooth traffic flow during the event. Residents are invited to drop off unwanted electronics, light bulbs, and batteries.

The initiative aims to promote responsible recycling and prevent toxins from entering the waste stream. An on-site processor will recycle various electronic equipment, including PDAs and mainframe systems, as well as fluorescent lamps, ballasts, commercial and industrial batteries, and mercury-bearing devices.
