Special election set for June 3 to elect District 4 city commissioner

A special election is scheduled for June 3, 2025, in Miami, Florida, to select a City Commissioner for District 4. The voting will occur from 7:00 A.M. to 7:00 P.M. across various precincts specified by the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections.

Interested candidates can qualify for the election at the City Clerk's Office located at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, from April 21 to April 25, 2025. The office hours are Monday through Thursday, 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M., and Friday until 6:00 P.M. Qualifying requires a payment from the candidate’s campaign account with fees listed as a $582 state assessment and a $100 city qualifying fee.

Candidates are encouraged to schedule an appointment in advance by reaching out to the City Clerk's Office via email or phone.

To participate in the election, voters must register following Florida state laws. Registration details can be obtained from the Miami-Dade County Supervisor of Elections.

Voters wishing to use a Vote-by-Mail ballot must comply with Florida’s laws. Ballot requests should be made by 5:00 P.M. on the twelfth day before the election.
