After two years without a New Year's Eve event due to COVID-19, Miami welcomed back its Bayfront Park Party in 2022. This celebration took place on December 31, 2021, and was held at Bayfront Park located at 301 Biscayne Blvd., Miami, FL.

In many cities across the nation, events were either canceled or scaled down because of rising COVID-19 cases. However, in Miami, high vaccination rates among the community supported the decision to proceed with the event.

Commissioner Joe Carrollo, Chairman of the Bayfront Park Management Trust, expressed optimism about the event's scale and safety measures. "The great farewell party of the year at Bayfront Park aims to become the best and most relevant entertainment option and will be the largest in the United States after the Times Square event in New York," Carrollo stated. He also highlighted that "Bayfront Park will undoubtedly become the safest place in the entire State of Florida to await the new year," noting that dozens of stations for disinfection and hand washing would be available along with free masks for attendees.

For those unable to attend in person, a live broadcast was made available through platforms associated with both Miami city and Bayfront Park Trust as well as on America Teve Channel 41.

The concert schedule featured performances from various artists including Carlos Oilva y Los Sobrinos del Juez, Amaury Gutiérrez, Lena & Malena Burke, Los 3 de la Habana, Lenier, Chacal, Aymee Nuviola during early evening hours. Later performances included Jacob Forever, Gente de Zona, Yotuel, and Willy Chirino leading up to midnight.

General admission was free but space was limited. Attendees were encouraged to use ride-share services or public transportation due to limited parking availability downtown. VIP packages offered additional amenities such as an open bar and reserved seating areas.

No strict dress code was enforced; however attendees typically dressed up for New Year's celebrations. Children aged 12 and under could access VIP areas for free when accompanied by adults holding VIP tickets.
