The City of Miami Parks Department has announced that several city parks have been recognized by the Miami New Times in their recent "Best of" awards.
"We are honored to have our facilities and parks within our city highlighted, reinforcing Miami’s status as a premier destination for both residents and visitors to enjoy outdoor activities and scenic beauty," stated the department.
The Miami New Times honored the city's parks in the following categories:
- Best Pool: Charles Hadley Park Pool was recognized for its outstanding aquatic facilities, providing a refreshing oasis for families and swimmers of all ages.
- Best Basketball Court: Margaret Pace Park's basketball courts were celebrated for their vibrant community atmosphere, making it the top spot for basketball enthusiasts.
- Best Dog Park: Blanche Park was acknowledged for its exceptional amenities for four-legged friends, proving once again that Miami cares for all its residents.
- Best View: Baywood Park was prized for offering breathtaking vistas in Miami, providing a tranquil setting for relaxation and contemplation.
- Best Place to Kayak: Morningside Park was distinguished as the leading destination for kayaking enthusiasts, offering serene waters and beautiful surroundings.
- Best Picnic Spot: Merrie Christmas Park was identified as the ideal location for picnics, with lush landscapes and peaceful environments.
Miami Parks expressed pride in winning multiple categories and remains committed to enhancing these spaces. "We invite residents and visitors to explore these award-winning parks and experience firsthand the great features that have earned them citywide recognition," added the department.
