Standard and Poor's (S&P) Global Ratings Services recently raised its long-term and underlying ratings on the City of Miami's limited ad valorem bonds and non-ad valorem bonds to AA. This reflects their view of Miami's economic growth and income improvement, coupled with moderation of debt.

S&P cites the city's solid tax base growth, healthy labor market and improvement in net performance and reserves for fiscal 2022 in its rating.
