EASY Card giveaways for the holidays

This holiday season, the Department of Transportation & Public Works (DPTW) is making it EASY for you to try Miami-Dade's transit systems for free.

Over the next five weeks, along with participating local businesses and organizations, DPTW is giving away free EASY Cards and 7-Day Passes. Participants will get a free EASY Card pre-loaded with a 7-Day Pass. An EASY Card usually costs $2, and the 7-Day Passes are valued at $29.25.

The pass is valid for seven consecutive days after its first use. Just tap it at the turnstile and you’re good to go. That means seven days of unlimited Metrobus and Metrorail services. You'll be able to hop on and off any Metrobus and Metrorail service as often as you like for a whole week, for free.

Each participating partner will distribute the passes in their own way. Check out the list of partners and visit their websites for more information about their EASY Card contests.

  • Miami-Dade Parks, Recreation and Open Spaces
  • Miami-Dade Public Library System - Passes will be available to qualifying contestants of the Fall Into Winter Reading Challenge
  • Community Action and Human Services - Passes will be available at select community centers and clients of CAHSD
  • Caro the Tour Guide - Attendees of the Locals-ONLY Tour will receive a free pass
  • Educational Federal Credit Union - Miami-Dade College students can get their free pass through the Single Stop Program
Please note, this information is subject to change without notice. Free EASY Cards are available while supplies last.
