Miami-Dade County is working to ensure that families raising children in our community have easy access to claim their Child Tax Credit payments, part of the American Rescue Plan. Miami-Dade's Community Action and Human Services Department (CAHSD) resource centers are open throughout the county for easy sign-up.
The Child Tax Credit helps families raising children make ends meet and has the potential to cut child poverty in half. Individuals with children, who are not required to file a traditional tax return may qualify to receive monthly Child Tax Credit payments. Some income limitations apply.
Through our No Wrong Door initiative, we are committed to ensuring all residents can access the support they need to thrive and to connecting families with government resources and community-based organizations.
Benefit Breakdown
- $3,000 per child 6-17 years of age ($250 each month)
