The Barry Buccaneers' Michael Schaefer scored the buzzer-beating game-winning field goal on a possession that started with .6 seconds left to knock off the Tampa Spartans 73-71 on Saturday, Feb. 12.

- 1H - The Bucs came out of the gates locked in on defense, holding the Spartans to just three points in the games first seven minutes while scoring 16 of their own. A Jake Kakar mid-range jumper at the 10:36 mark gave the Bucs a 24-9 lead. The Spartans were saved by a scoring outburst from sixth man Bryan Williams who went off for 25 in the first half including shooting 5-6 from downtown. | Bucs 40, Spartans 32
- 2H - Things were nip-and-tuck the entire second half, with the game going down to the final possession. The Bucs got the ball with the score tied up at 71 with .6 second on the clock. They ran their inbounds play to perfection and Schaefer was able to catch and shoot the precisely placed inbounds pass from Jake Kakar and convert the bucket at the buzzer to put the dagger in the Spartans. | Bucs 73, Spartans 71
- The Bucs scored at will inside the paint with Schaefer finishing with 22 points on 9-14 shooting from the field and Justinas Marcinkevicius adding 14 points of his own.
The Bucs will now hit the road and take on the Tampa Spartans on Saturday, Feb. 12.
