Miami Mayor Francis Suarez, along with Miami Police and local volunteers, continued the heartwarming tradition of "shopping with the Mayor" this holiday season. The annual event, aptly named 'Christmas Shopping with the Mayor,' allows a select group of children to experience the joy of shopping for items on their Christmas wish list.

"I'm humbled to spend time with these children and their families who unfortunately struggle this time of year to make the holiday season a joyous occasion," expressed Mayor Francis Suarez. "Seeing the smiles on the kids' faces is the best gift for me."

On Wednesday, December 13, 2023, at the Target Midtown Store on N. Miami Ave in Miami, thirty children from every city district were chosen to participate in this special shopping event. Each child was provided with a $100 gift card to purchase toys, clothes, or any other desired item.

The event commenced at 9:30 a.m. and lasted until 11:30 a.m., with Mayor Francis Suarez leading the shopping expedition alongside UM Football players Jaden Davis and Kamren Kinchens, as well as local youth and volunteers. The presence of the mayor and the football players added a touch of excitement and inspiration for the children.
