The University of Miami women’s tennis team is once again No. 11 in the ITA Top 25 Coaches Poll, as announced Wednesday morning.

The Hurricanes, under the direction of 22nd-year head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews, retained their position on the list following a solid showing in the Miami Spring Invite to begin the 2023 campaign.  Miami took on players from top-ranked Texas, third-ranked NC State and then-No. 20 Vanderbilt (now No. 21) on its home court at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center to begin the year.

Yaroshuk-Tews’ team earned a trio of top-100 singles wins. Two of them came from redshirt sophomore Alexa Noel, who won ACC Player of the Week. Mia Mack also claimed ACC Co-Freshman of the Week distinction for her strong play.

The Hurricanes are one of six ACC teams in the ITA top 25, alongside second-ranked North Carolina, third-ranked NC State, sixth-ranked Duke, ninth-ranked Virginia and No. 25 Georgia Tech.

Miami opens its 2023 dual match slate Jan. 24 at 2 p.m. against Florida Atlantic at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
