Tell Us About the Places and Spaces That Are Historically Important to You

0Comments

The Office of Historic Preservation is conducting a Historic Heritage Survey, a comprehensive review of historic locations and buildings from 1941 to 1981. This is your chance to share with us the places and structures from that era that are important to you or your community. These may be sites that are significant to individuals and their greater community, including houses, churches, playgrounds, schools, businesses and other locations.

The original structures need not be standing at the present for you to document them in the survey. If a site was the location of a significant event or the previous location of a structure that holds historic significance, you’re encouraged to share your story with us.

All groups are welcome to participate, and this includes hearing about places associated with Native American and Indigenous heritage; African American and Black heritage; women’s heritage, LGBTQ+ heritage, Asian American heritage and religious minorities.

Join us to learn more about the County’s heritage survey and provide input on historic places and spaces important to you. All events are free and open to the public.
