The St. Thomas University (STU) Football team has been selected to finish third in 2022 Sun Conference Preseason Coaches’ Poll as released by the conference office on Monday morning. Voting is done by the league’s seven head coaches and each team is not allowed to vote for their own.

St. Thomas collected 26 points in the poll to come behind Keiser who topped the poll with 36 points and six first-place votes and Southeastern who came right behind in second with 30 points and one first-place vote.

The poll was filled out with Ave Maria coming in fourth (21 points), Warner in fifth (14 points) and Webber International and Florida Memorial tying for sixth with 10 points each.

The Bobcats are coming off one of the most historic seasons in program history going 9-2 and 4-2 in conference action. This year will mark the first time STU will play Sun

Conference football as the league announced to sponsor the sport last December.
