Gagnon and Takis Named CSC Academic All-Americans | Keiser University
The 2022 Academic All-America Football Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators(CSC), were announced on Tuesday. The CSC Academic All-America program recognizes the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the field and in the classroom.
Keiser's Chance Gagnon and Colton Takis were recognized as NAIA Academic All-Americans this season, joining Sage Chen-Young (2019 and 2021) as the only Seahawks to garner this award.
The NAIA Academic All-America® program is being financially supported by the NAIA national governance structure to assist College Sports Communicators with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Division II Academic All-America® program.

Chance Gagnon, Sophomore, Kicker, Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.
- Attained a 3.60 GPA in business administration with a focus on finance.
- Earned second all-conference honor of his career as a second-team selection at place kicker.
- Appeared in all 14 games for the Seahawks.
- Named the Sun Conference Special Teams Player of the Week (8/29).
- Led the team and the Sun Conference in points with (110).
- Ranked tied for No. 4 in total scoring
- Converted 21-of-26 field goals, including a school-record 48-yarder at SEU (10/22).
- His 21 field goals were the most in the NAIA and set the single-season school record.
- Named a 2022 NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
- Achieved a 3.83 GPA in business administration and is working towards his Master's.
- A 2021-22 NAIA Scholar-Athlete and three-time academic all-conference selection.
- Earned AP All-America Honors for the first time in his career.
- Garnered First-Team All-Sun Conference accolades on the offensive line.
- Started all 14 games for the Seahawks.
- Started at right tickle on an offensive line that has helped Keiser rushed for 2,686 on the ground with 34 rushing touchdowns - both are single-season records at KU.
- Keiser ranked No. 3 in the NAIA in rushing yards and tied for No. 2 in rushing touchdowns.
- Has protected a Seahawk passing game which set the school's single-season record for passing yards (2,899 - No. 10 in the NAIA).
- Helped Keiser produces its first season with two running back that reached the 1,000-yard plateau.
- Named a 2022 NAIA Scholar-Athlete.
