No. 6 women's soccer was relentless in their 4-0 win on Tuesday over the Viterbo V-Hawks. Kyoka Koshijima stole the show for Keiser, netting three goals and adding an assist on the fourth goal scored by the Seahawks.

HOW IT HAPPENED

  • Keiser set the tone for the game early with heavy pressure through the first 15 minutes with six shots, four on goal.
  • Ramona Kannady would break the tie at the 16th minute off of a corner set piece that Lauren Riley tapped to the back of the net where Kannday headed it in with ease.
  • In the 33rd minute, Maja Lundman would fight off the V-Hawks keeper and draw her second penalty of the season.
  • Kyoka Koshijima stepped up to the spot and buried it into the net to give KU the 2-0 lead.
  • Less than two minutes later, Julia Forslund would find Lundman on a throw-in who touched it on to Koshijima who ripped the ball 30 yards into the far corner of the net and give Keiser a 3-0 lead.
  • The Seahawks would hold onto their 3-0 lead going into the half allowing just one shot on goal.
  • In the 68th minute, Maja Henriksson collected an attempted clear by the V-Hawks before sending a ball through the Viterbo defense and leaving Koshijima one-on-one with the keeper who could not stop the senior midfielder from extending the lead to 4-0.
  • Keiser would continue to stay on the offensive half of the field, totaling 25 shots, 16 on goal.
  • KU's defense would pitch their second shutout of the season, allowing just three shots on goal and winning 4-0.
