Sharks Open 2022 Season Ranked in AVCA Coaches' Poll

The American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) released its Preseason Coaches' Poll earlier this afternoon, Nova Southeastern checks into the first edition of the 2022 polls at 24. NSU is one of two Sunshine State Conference teams ranked within the Top-25 (Tampa/1st).

In 2021, the Sharks set program records in several categories, including longest winning streak (19),  most Sunshine State Conference wins (16), highest SSC winning percentage (0.800), and home wins (16). Dating back to last season, when NSU found its way back into the AVCA Coaches' Poll, entering at No. 23 on Sep. 27, the Sharks were ranked as high as No. 17. NSU has remained in the poll since 9/27, setting a program-record for longest streak within the rankings.

Nova Southeastern also qualified for the NCAA National Tournament for the first time since 2009 during the 2021 season and Head Coach Kacie Ehinger looks to elevate the program even higher in her first season leading the Sharks.

NSU begins its 2022 campaign in Charlotte, NC, as the Sharks take on Concord to open the season on 8/26. Nova Southeastern hosts Shaw in the 2022 home opener on 9/2 from the Shark Tank. To stay up-to-date on the Sharks, be sure to follow on Instagram and Twitter at NSU_VBall.
