Florida International University recently issued the following announcement.
International MBA program ranked No. 2 in the nation for the second consecutive year
U.S. News and World Report announced today that Florida International University graduate programs ranked in the top 50 among U.S. public universities in 19 categories.
“Continuing our rise in the rankings is not a surprise. It is a recognition of the outstanding quality of our students and faculty,” said Elizabeth M. Béjar, interim provost, executive vice president and COO. “These rankings complement other incredible accomplishments in research, teaching, and innovation at FIU.”
The following were ranked among the top 50 graduate public university programs:
- In the College of Business, the International MBA program continued to be ranked No. 2 in the nation.
- In the Robert Stempel College of Public Health & Social Work, the public health school was ranked No. 39, biostatistics - a part of the public health program - was ranked No. 43 and the School of Social Work was ranked No. 49.
- On the heels of achieving full membership in the Association of Professional Schools of International Affairs (APSIA), the Steven J. Green School of International and Public Affairs was ranked No. 46 in public affairs. The Global Policy and Local Government Management programs were ranked No. 3 and No. 16, respectively. The school also was ranked No. 11 in public finance. The Green School’s Leadership program was ranked No. 25.
- FIU Law’s part-time law program was ranked No. 14, the international law program was ranked No. 19, and the legal writing program was ranked No. 22. The college also ranked No. 32 in trial advocacy, No. 41 in dispute resolution, No. 42 in intellectual property law, and No. 50 in constitutional law.
- The Nicole Wertheim College of Nursing & Health Sciences master’s nursing program was ranked No. 34.
- The Herbert Wertheim College of Medicine ranked as the No. 1 most diverse public medical school based on the Student Diversity Index.
