#23 St. Thomas places fifth at sun fall major

St. Thomas University Athletics issued the following announcement on Oct. 12.

The 23rd ranked St. Thomas University Women's Golf team completed their final day at the Nancy Nichols Fall Invite, that is also the Sun Conference Fall Major, at the Sun 'N Lake Golf Club with the final 18-holes. The recently ranked Bobcats finished fifth in the tournament.

Course Information

Sun 'N Lake Golf Club / Par 72 – 5982 yards.

The 23rd ranked Bobcats had an eventful time at the Nancy Nichols Fall Invite. Serah Khanyereri was the top Bobcat, shooting six over par in the final round of the tournament. Khanyereri ended the tournament tying for 15th place.

Samantha Cornelius also performed superbly during the tournament, moving up four spots and landing a spot in 17th place. On the final day of the tournament Cornelius shot two over par. Heidi Demel dropped one spot in the tournament, resulting in her tying for 19th place. Demel shot nine over par in the final day of the tournament.

Chabely Arias tied for 33rd place after shooting 18 over par in the final 18-holes. Angelina Quin dropped a spot and tied for 37th place after shooting 15 over par on the final day. Completing the Bobcat lineup Allison Strong finished 42nd with an 90-stroke in the final round of the tournament
