Cost of college went up for all students at the Praxis Institute

Tuition and fees rose 1.8 percent for 2018-19 at the Praxis Institute, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

Florida students paid $8,350 to attend the private for-profit school this year – $150 more than the $8,200 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 86 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 300 students received grants or scholarships totaling $808,428 and 290 students took out student loans totaling more than $1.3 million.

Including all undergraduates (407), 355 students used grants or scholarships totaling $984,375, and 320 students took out $1.5 million in federal student loans.
