Miami Dade College enrolls 54,973 undergrads

At Miami Dade College, 72 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 57 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Miami enrolled 54,973 students in fall 2018, all in undergraduate programs, data shows. 5.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

98 percent of undergraduates are residents of Florida, and 1 percent are residents of other states. 1 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (70 percent) and Black or African American (14 percent).
