Rep. María Elvira Salazar, U.S. Representative for Florida’s 27th congressional district, posted on May 26, 2026, about her participation in the groundbreaking ceremony for a new Veterans Park in Palmetto Bay. In her tweets, she highlighted both her role in securing federal funding and the significance of the project.
The planned Veterans Park aims to serve as a permanent memorial honoring military service members from the community. Rep. Salazar noted that she played a part in securing $200,000 in federal funds to support its development.
