In her first message, Salazar stated: “Honoring Dr. Martin Luther King Jr.’s legacy and the values that helped transform our nation: service, unity, and an enduring commitment to justice.” (January 19, 2026). Later that day, Salazar turned her attention to sports with a message of encouragement for the Miami Hurricanes: ” Tonight is for champions. Eyes on the ultimate prize. Finish the job and bring it home.
