Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 27th congressional district, posted on November 4, 2025, about a new resource for food assistance offered by United Way.
In her first tweet on November 4, Salazar stated: ” If you or someone you know needs food assistance, @UnitedWay’s new tool helps you find nearby food banks and pantries fast, no questions asked.
No family should ever go hungry, and hunger should never be used as a political bargaining chip.
Shortly after, she published a similar message in Spanish: ” Si tú o alguien que conoces necesita asistencia alimentaria, @UnitedWay tiene una nueva herramienta para encontrar rápidamente bancos de alimentos y despensas cercanas, sin hacer preguntas.
Ninguna familia debe pasar hambre y mucho menos por razones políticas.” (November 4, 2025).
She also shared an additional link to the tool in a separate post: “https://t.co/hZtIWkrgsm” (November 4, 2025).
Food insecurity remains a significant issue in the United States. Organizations such as United Way have developed digital tools to connect individuals with local food resources quickly and confidentially. Rep. Salazar’s public communications highlight ongoing efforts by policymakers and non-profits to address hunger and ensure that families have access to basic necessities without stigma or political interference.
