Rep. María Elvira Salazar announced on December 2, 2025, that the House of Representatives unanimously passed the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids A Chance Act. In her first post, Salazar stated, “Last night, the House unanimously passed the Mikaela Naylon Give Kids A Chance Act. I’m proud to co-sponsor this bill, which accelerates treatments for pediatric cancer, expands access to life-saving therapies for rare-disease kids, and fuels the research our families urgently” (December 2, 2025).
She reiterated this message in Spanish: “Anoche, la Cámara aprobó por unanimidad la Ley Mikaela Naylon Give Kids A Chance. Me enorgullece copatrocinar este proyecto de ley, que acelera los tratamientos contra el cáncer pediátrico, amplía el acceso a terapias que salvan vidas para niños con enfermedades raras y” (December 2, 2025).
