In the morning, Salazar reflected on her participation in a national event focused on faith. She wrote, “A moving morning at the National Prayer Breakfast, where Representatives from all over the nation come together to pray and seek guidance from God. Faith has always been at the heart of America, and I’m proud to be part of that important legacy.” (posted February 5, 2026).
Later that day, Salazar addressed immigration policy while standing with American Families United at Capitol Hill. In her post she stated, “Proud to stand with @amerifamsunited on Capitol Hill today to defend U.S. citizens whose families are being torn apart by the current immigration system. Our laws must recognize that U.S. citizens and their families belong together. The Dignity Act would fix this problem, by” (posted February 5, 2026).
She also posted in Spanish about her advocacy for families affected by immigration laws: “Hoy estuve en el Capitolio junto a @amerifamsunited defendiendo a ciudadanos estadounidenses cuyas familias están siendo separadas por un sistema migratorio fallido.
