Rep. María Elvira Salazar, U.S. Representative for Florida’s 27th congressional district, has recently highlighted her legislative efforts and constituent services in a series of social media posts.
On April 10, 2026, Salazar stated, “For five years, I have fought to cut through Washington’s bureaucracy and deliver real results for the people of FL-27. I am proud to share that since coming to Congress, my office has resolved 17,000 constituent cases across our district, from the IRS and VA to Social Security,” referencing her work on behalf of constituents dealing with federal agencies.
Later that day, she addressed the Dignity Act in another post: “The Dignity Act isn’t just about immigration. It puts AMERICAN WORKERS FIRST. Direct investment. Real training. Better-paying jobs. Here’s how it delivers.” The Dignity Act is a legislative proposal sponsored by Salazar aimed at reforming immigration while emphasizing support for American workers through measures such as job training and investment.
On April 11, 2026, Salazar commented on the nature of political discourse: “You can disagree with me all you want. That’s DEMOCRACY. But when death threats and hate replaces debate, it becomes the last refuge of cowards. It tells you everything you need to know. I don’t bow to intimidation. I only stand on facts and values. That’s how AMERICA”.
Salazar has served in Congress since January 2021 after being elected in November 2020 as a member of the Republican Party representing Miami-Dade County.
