Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a U.S. Congresswoman representing Florida’s 27th District, recently posted several updates on her social media account regarding constituent services and national issues.
On August 18, 2025, Salazar informed constituents about an upcoming event to assist with federal agency issues: “Facing an issue with a federal agency?
Tomorrow, my team is hosting Office Hours at the Kendall Branch Library to provide support and guidance on federal casework.
See more details below. https://t.co/t0KiHxJ7iT” (August 18, 2025).
She reiterated this message in Spanish for her Spanish-speaking constituents: “¿Necesita ayuda con una agencia federal?
Recuerde que mañana mi equipo estará disponible en la Biblioteca Kendall Branch para brindar apoyo y orientación en casos federales.

Later that day, Salazar addressed the ongoing crisis of missing children and expressed gratitude toward former President Donald Trump and First Lady Melania Trump for their leadership on the issue: “Thank you President Trump and First Lady Melania for leading on the heartbreaking crisis of missing children.
This fight must unite the world.
Every child deserves freedom, safety, and a future. We must never stop until every child is safe.” (August 19, 2025).
Office hours such as those announced by Rep. Salazar are part of regular outreach efforts by members of Congress to help constituents navigate challenges with federal agencies—ranging from Social Security to immigration or veterans’ benefits.
The issue of missing children remains a significant concern in the United States and globally. National campaigns have sought to raise awareness and coordinate responses across agencies under various administrations.
