On May 26, 2026, Salazar expressed her gratitude for being appointed to the board of the International Republican Institute. She stated in Spanish: “Es un profundo honor formar parte de la Junta Directiva del Instituto Republicano Internacional @IRIglobal , una organización que por décadas ha acompañado a quienes luchan contra la tiranía y defienden la democracia en todo el mundo. Como hija de padres que lo dejaron todo”.

Later on May 26, Salazar participated in a community event in Palmetto Bay Village. She wrote, “Proud to join the @PalmettoBayVlg today for the groundbreaking of this future Veterans Park.
