The DIGNITY Act is bipartisan immigration legislation first introduced by Rep. Salazar in previous sessions of Congress. It seeks to provide legal status for certain undocumented immigrants while strengthening border security measures and implementing mandatory E-Verify requirements for employers.
The formation of the Dignity Coalition and the planned nationwide tour are intended to build support for passing the act into law.
