Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a member of the U.S. House of Representatives from Florida’s 27th district, posted on her Twitter account about citizenship processes and recent developments in American space exploration.
(April 1, 2026). This message was followed by a tweet containing only a link: “https://t.co/l0VAlv6mR1” (April 1, 2026).
Later that day, Salazar commented on the Artemis II mission: “For the first time in decades, Americans are heading back to the Moon, and it’s happening from Florida’s Space Coast. Artemis II is more than a launch. It’s the beginning of a new era of American leadership in space. And once again, Florida is leading the way. https://t.co/tMrrmAPUpf” (April 1, 2026).
The Artemis II mission represents NASA’s ongoing efforts to return humans to lunar orbit as part of its broader Artemis program. The launch is scheduled from Kennedy Space Center in Florida and will be the first crewed mission under this initiative since Apollo missions ended decades ago.
Salazar has previously focused on immigration reform and support for science and technology initiatives within her district.
