The case involves Adonay Menjivar Cortez, who was booked on charges of sexual performance by a child for possession of images. The arrest details appeared in a public post on the Miami-Dade County Mugshots Facebook page which regularly shares information drawn directly from county booking records. As reported by the page, the entry follows standard procedures for individuals processed through the local corrections system after an arrest in the area. Miami-Dade County continues active operations against child exploitation and human trafficking. In April 2026 authorities announced the arrest of 14 adult men and one 16-year-old during a two-day undercover investigation that targeted commercial sexual exploitation of minors through online ads and communications. Suspects faced charges that included human trafficking, use of a computer to solicit a minor, and traveling to meet a minor for unlawful sexual activity.
