Rep. María Elvira Salazar, U.S. Representative for Florida’s 27th congressional district, has recently shared a series of posts on her official Twitter account addressing themes of American leadership, community investment, and international partnerships.
On February 6, 2026, Salazar reflected on the legacy of former President Ronald Reagan, stating: “Ronald Reagan’s legacy stands as a defining chapter in the story of American strength and renewal. With optimism, moral clarity, and an unshakable belief in the American people, he led with conviction, stood firmly against communism, and helped restore confidence in a nation”.
The following day, February 7, 2026, she expressed support for local initiatives within her district: “Proud to support this investment in our community. Spaces like this bring people of all ages together and make our neighborhoods stronger. It’s an honor to serve the families of FL-27, and I’ll keep working to bring home the resources and opportunities our communities deserve.”
On February 8, 2026, Salazar commented on international relations between the United States and Honduras: “Glad to see the United States and Honduras strengthening a partnership that is vital to the future of our hemisphere, advancing security, expanding economic opportunity, and defending the democratic values that unite our region. Under President Trump’s leadership, we will”.
Salazar represents a diverse district in South Florida known for its large Hispanic population. She has served in Congress since January 2021 after a career as a broadcast journalist.
