Rep. María Elvira Salazar, a U.S. Representative from Florida, has recently shared updates on immigration reform efforts, economic development in Miami, and the legal situation of Nicolás Maduro through her social media posts.

On March 25, 2026, Salazar wrote: “This is how we move forward on immigration reform. Launching the Dignity Coalition and taking the Dignity Act nationwide.”

The following day, March 26, she posted about Miami’s growing influence in the Americas and recent legislative achievements: “Miami is not just a city, it is the capital of the Americas.

Later that day, Salazar commented on legal proceedings involving Venezuelan leader Nicolás Maduro: “Nicolás Maduro, el dictador que secuestró a Venezuela con el poder y el narcotráfico, hoy enfrenta la justicia en Estados Unidos.

Salazar has been an active proponent of bipartisan immigration legislation such as the Dignity Act and recently launched the Dignity Coalition to build support across party lines. She has also played a key role in promoting Miami as an economic hub for Latin America by sponsoring legislation related to international development banks and supporting foreign investment initiatives.

Her comments regarding Nicolás Maduro reflect ongoing tensions between U.S. policymakers and Venezuela’s government. The United States has imposed sanctions on Maduro’s administration due to concerns over corruption and human rights violations.
