Interfaith Advisory Board seeks news board members

The Miami-Dade County Interfaith Advisory Board, established in 2020 and young in its history, the Interfaith Advisory Board (IAB) serves as a voice for all communities by engaging in interfaith dialogue and voicing relevant concerns to the Miami-Dade Board of County Commissioners. The IAB will continue to stretch its wings and add to its history over the course of time.

There are 10 seats available in County Commission Districts 2, 4, 5, 9, 10, 11 and 13.

Requirements:

  • You must be a Miami-Dade County resident. Residents from other Counties can serve on the board with appropriate wavier/corresponding forms from appointing Commissioner
  • Have knowledge of and interest in matters of importance to faith-based, religious, or spiritual communities
  • Serve a four-year term
  • Each member must attend all IAB meetings and the sub-committee meetings of his or her primary assignment

IAB board members shall serve without compensation but shall be entitled to reimbursement for parking in a County leased or owned parking facility.

If you are interested in becoming a board member, contact your County Commissioner. 

Applications that fulfill the qualifications will be shared with Commissioners on a rolling basis.
