City Manager Art Noriega is pleased to announce the promotion of Mr. Hector Badia to the position of Director of the Office of Capital Improvements. He has over 30 years of experience in various facets of municipal planning, budgeting, and community development experience. Mr. Badia was named Interim Director in April 2022.

In his previous role as Assistant Director of Operations, Mr. Badia effectively delivered over 350 projects and was actively involved in historic preservation initiatives to construct and improve parks, pools, marinas, and public facilities. He also previously worked as a project manager at C3TS, a prestigious engineering and architectural firm. He also holds a bachelor’s degree from Tulane University.

We welcome Mr. Hector Badia to his new role as Director of the Office of Capital Improvements. His contribution to the continued growth and well-being of the City of Miami makes him an invaluable addition to the City’s leadership team.
