City of Miami Department of Solid Waste to Closed on Christmas Day

In observance of the Christmas Holiday, the City of Miami Department of Solid Waste will be closed on Monday, December 25, 2023. No garbage, bulky trash or recycling services will be provided until the department resumes its normal operations on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. Additionally, residents who receive recycling services on the 4th Monday of the month will have collection on Wednesday December 27, 2023. 

The Mini Dump Facility, located at 1290 N.W. 20th Street, will also be closed on Christmas and would resume normal hours of operation from 8 a.m.-4 p.m. on Tuesday, December 26, 2023. As a reminder, proof of City of Miami residency is required. 

City of Miami residents are reminded to hold their garbage, recycling, bulky trash until the next pickup day on their schedule. Once services resume, residents are reminded to place their garbage, recycling or bulky trash items in front of their home five feet away from all objects on the public right of way.
